This month’s winning snap was taken by
Andrew Stripp of an old shepherd’s hut in the desert near
Merzouga in Morocco. The hut, the only sign of human civilisation in the picture, clings defiantly to the desert’s edge but looks as if it could be overwhelmed at any moment. Andrew’s use of black and white depicts the desert landscape as rich in shade and texture rather than the barren, featureless place of popular imagination.
Andrew’s image will be blown up and scanned onto a canvas block by
Point 101.For your chance of winning next month’s prize, read through our
