This month's winning picture was taken by
Sarah McGee in
Budapest. It shows two actors, as part of events commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution, portraying refugees fleeing the city in the uprising's aftermath. Most of the human traffic flows ahead of them obliviously, apart from the three curious figures to the left who stare and take their own pictures, making it seem as if these ghostly silhouettes really have just materialised out of the cold war into 21st century Hungary.
Sarah's image will be blown up and scanned on to a canvas block by
Point 101.
