This month's winning photo is a striking shot of a tree frog in woodland near Masaya in Nicaragua. Photographer John Perry came face-to-face with this inquisitive creature to produce a vivid close-up and his skill and patience is worthy of this month's prize.

John's image will be blown up and scanned on to a canvas block by Point 101.
