Readers' guide to London competition
London City Hall and Tower Bridge

With 2012 fast approaching, all eyes are set to be on London for the next few years. Can the city pull off an Olympic success? Will everything be ready in time? And most importantly, for visitors to the city, where are the top spots for accommodation, eating, drinking, sightseeing and soaking up the culture?

In the interests of helping you find the best of London according to the Been there community, we're putting together a readers' guide to the capital. And we need your help, which is why we've teamed up with the generous folk at the Hoxton Urban Lodge to offer a great two-night hotel stay in exchange for your inside knowledge.

Opened in 2006 (the brainchild of Sinclair Beecham, co-founder of Pret a Manger), the Hoxton Urban Lodge is celebrating its second birthday this month. It's the ultimate hotel for travellers seeking to discover the vibrant areas of Hoxton and Shoreditch, and it combines roaring fires, sumptuous duck down duvets, Aveda bathroom products and free WiFi with more than reasonable room prices ranging from a bargain-hunter's £1 (no typo - that's ONE pound) to £199. Close to Old Street tube and the City of London, The Hoxton provides easy access to Moorgate, Finsbury Square and Liverpool Street and prides itself on being low cost, high quality, no fuss and value for money.
