From small shoots, Been there's photo competition has now grown into a superb format for unearthing hidden photography talent.
Monthly prize: A £200 voucher for Point 101 who specialise in large format printing.
Overall prize: The trip of a lifetime to the Antarctic Peninsula with Quark Expeditions offering unprecedented opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography and worth over $30,000. PLUS you'll get to see your photos in the Guardian travel section on your return.

February's theme: Nature
Mother Nature in all her glory; animals, landscapes - can you capture it? Probably best to use a big lens to get this close to a bear though.
