We've just added a nifty new function to the site to enable you to personalise your contributions to Been there. From today, you'll be able to introduce yourself to fellow Been there users and upload a snapshot, to let everyone know more about who you are and where you're tipping from.
It's a simple process, but you must be a registered user to begin. Click on the 'my profile' link underneath your sign in name and you'll be presented with a space on the right hand side of the screen, just type in a few words about yourself, a mini biog if you like, and submit. Pictures can be uploaded from your desktop and will be cropped automatically.
Of course, we'll need to keep an eye on submissions and monitor them as they come through so they won't go live immediately. We wouldn't want any bogus pics appearing on the site, just as we try to ensure all tips submitted are as genuine and as useful as they can be.
We're hoping that this facility will add to Been there's aim in creating an evolving travel community and hope that you'll enjoy reading up on users whose tips you've agreed with and have put into practice.
Who knows, you might even spy a fellow traveller from across the globe who you once shared a sweaty dorm with in Kathmandu. Ahh, the memories.
Hope to see you around.
