Travel photography, discussion and inspiration
Deji has been a long time friend of Been there since like, erm years. And it's been great having him around. It was this fantastic shot in the Flickr group which prompted me to ask him to be our featured snapper this week and turns out, via his choice of his favourite shot, that he's a big softie. I'll let him explain.

If you're new to our weekly photography knees up come on in and join. Our Flickr group is Been there photos where you can share your shots and get inspired by some of the great talent.

Or if you've got an image you'd like to share and discuss but aren't on Flickr (and why not?) - pop it over in an email: been.there.photos@guardian.co.uk

And if you fancy seeing other images in the Flickr Friday series you can do so by clicking here.

Meanwhile, here's Deji's photostream

Claudia Fisher in Barcelona

This picture was taken in the Historical Centre
of Barcelona, my favourite part of the city.

The big irony is that in the midst of the stunning, medieval, roman architecture you find these flourishes of graffiti that if nothing else add bursts of colour to the Old Town.

When I saw this garage door with its elaborate grafitti, almost like a cartoon sketch it seemed like an obvious background to a picture. So I asked my wife, Claudia to be my subject.

To her credit, with such a dramatic, colourful background she could easily have been swallowed up and fail to stand out in front it, but with that smile of hers, she was also going to be the star of this particular show.

If you've got an image you'd like to share and discuss or you'd like to chat about Deji's photo, drop us an email: been.there.photos@guardian.co.uk
