Byron Bay is situated on the east coast between Sydney and Brisbane. It is like a huge hippy commune where you can buy great clothes and enjoy good food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere. It is all somehow reminiscent of a traditional English beach holiday. And the highlight has to be sitting on the beach in the evening when people come and light campfires, have BBQs and sing. There is a very welcoming atmosphere for visitors who are able to join in.
Byron Bay is located close to the Pacific Highway and is a good stop off between Sydney and Brisbane.
