Cape Trib Safari Tents

Posted by jerrycon 3 January 2010

Cape Tribulation campground rents out safari tents so you can have the experience of beach camping without carrying the gear. On the edge of the rainforest and 100 m from the beach. You are given a bed with bedding in a permanent tent with a small balcony looking out onto the rainforest. One of the best bits was meeting up with other campers in the well equipped communal BBQ and cooking area using the cooking kit supplied by the campground. From here you can walk up the beach to the mangrove boardwalk through the rainforest.

Cape Tribulation sky at night

Posted by Dowson 20 December 2007

The southern night sky was an amazing sight from Cape Tribulation beach as we danced in the dark at the instigation of Martin, owner of the Dragonfly Restaurant, driver of the Cape Trib shuttle, guide for the half-day Daintree Experience, and all-round Aussie gem. Never has the night seemed so dark or the stars so many, so bright and so close.

Coopers Creek Croc Cruise

Posted by AliD 30 April 2007

The cruise is a beautiful trip up the creek at the foot of the mountains. The guide is really informative and we saw crocodiles in the wild.

Off the main road north of the Daintree River.

The beach is really quiet and you can walk all the way along at low tide through the mangrove forest on the beach.
