Outside life
A place that has it all - beaches, city, wineries and surrounding hills. Perth is so far away from anywhere else that people can leave it out on an Australian visit, but its chilled out, happy go-lucky nature means that it is definitely worth the travel.
We've been there to stay with friends and particularly loved the outside living, splashing about with boats, and the miles long beach. Architecture wise it's not that great - think 1950s surburban America, but perhaps you can't have it all.
