Australia
Here in England, we all know and take for granted the way the moon 'quarters' vertically. To see the moon in Sydney - half-full widthways - was a magical sight and really did take my breath away. It made me realise just how far away from the UK we had travelled. I can't believe I went halfway around the world and did not photograph this unusual angle of the moon for my collection.
My tip therefore, would be to photograph it if you can.
Sydney (nearly) DailyPhoto is a blog written by Sally, an "opinionated, didactic, dogmatic, organising, obsessive, ranting loon." according to her.
Through Sally's eyes, you can see a photo of Sydney each day along with a short commentary and an active comment section.
Everything from where to find the statue of "that doughty Yorkshireman" Captain Cook, to where to find the Olympic rings from the 2000 games.
Really worth a visit before your trip - pose a question to Sally and find out if she's really a ranting loon!
