    Durobeach hotel

Posted by kristoffolos 6 May 2008

This cosy beach hotel is perfect for kitesurfing, it is on the best kite beach and right next to the village centre. There is free fast internet, kite storage etc. Compliments for the friendly English-speaking staff, we fully enjoyed the massages and caipirinhas!

    0031 Dunelodge and restaurant

Posted by jansje 13 October 2007

This brand new hotel has seven beautiful apartments, each with a stunning view in the front over the ocean and in the back over the sand dunes. We stayed in a two-person apartment, very clean, huge bathroom and a very nice atmosphere. Try their breakfast, it's delicious!

Rua as Dunas in Cumbuco, just 300 metres from the ocean and the town centre.

    Maracajau, Natal

Posted by jvmills 19 June 2007

Maracajaú is a gorgeous, peaceful village on the coast. Fantastic diving - white beaches and Brazil's largest coral reef. Fab. And cheaper than the Caribbean.

    Windtown Hotel

Posted by rjsurfing 4 April 2007

Very nice place, good English speaking staff. Very helpful people. Perfect location on the beach. I suggest this for all kiters (for lessons as well) and non-kiters for massages and food.

    Bar Laranja Mecanica

Posted by jacdri 2 December 2006

A nicely designed bar with a beautiful view on the ocean. Cocktails, different kind of beers and good personnel makes this bar the best one in Cumbuco.

In the main street in the centre where you find most of the restaurants.

We can recommend the really nice restaurant 0031 in down town Cumbuco. Nice atmosphere and most importantly, very good food for a very good price.

For the best fish go to G’ita which is right in the centre of the village overlooking the beach.

For kitesurfing lessons you should check out a new English run school 'Hi-Life Kitesurf School', who are based right on the beach and provide excellent tuition and services.

    Kitesurfing

Posted by Jamiemac 6 April 2006

If you want to learn to Kitesurf I would highly recommend Cumbuco.

Cumbuco has a stunning white sandy beach, with year-round temperatures of 27-33 degrees with the sea always around 26 degrees. The wind in the Ceara state, and particularly around Cumbuco is the BEST in the world for kitesurfing, particularly learning.

From June until February you can kitesurf nearly everyday, it's also very steady and always blows cross-onshore from the South-East, making it a very safe place to learn.
