Cafe Habana, Canoa Quebrada

Posted by winlose678 16 July 2007

It's a great place for lunch, dinner or a late drink and watch the world go by.

Good prices and generous servings: seafood, beef and pasta; also a good wine selection from Chile; and friendly waitresses.

Canoa Quebrada is a popular resort for the weekend. It has a very good carnival in nearby Aracati.

Canoa Quebrada is 160km south of Fortaleza.

Rede Beach Resort is a small hotel (20 rooms) in Guajiru. It is situated on the beach, north of Fortaleza and just next to the towns of Flexeiras and Mundau.

It has been recently been taken over by three English guys and it really shows. They have built a fabulous pool, spa, TV lounge, gym, shop and revamped the somewhat predictable Brazilian menu into one everyone can find pleasing.

The rooms are big, have their own verrandahs with great sea views and are really rustic, which goes against the normal 80s appearence of many hotels I have stayed in around these parts.

The service is excellent with attentive professional staff.

It is not expensive either! If you are anywhere near Fortaleza, forget Jericoacoara, visit the guys at Rede Beach.

Guajiru - 120km north of Fortaleza taking route CE 085.
24 km from Trairi and 5 km from Flexeiras.
Bus available to Guajiru from Fortaleza or taxi transfer.
