    Parintins Festival

    Posted by Paulheinrich 5 July 2006

    The Parintins Festival is one of Brazil's most famous and exciting festivals. Visitors arrive on the island of Parintins to witness the dispute between the two "bumbás", groups of people, representing the two bulls: "Caprichoso" and "Garantido", from the Parintins Cult.

    For more information see www.v-brazil.com/tourism/amazonas/parintins.html;
    Eco Discovery Tours run excursions to the festival: see members.virtualtourist.com/vt/lm/1ddc/?i=0
