On the western coast of Virgin Gorda is an area along the beach where immense volcanic rocks have piled up, and over the years the waves and weather have carved out caves and passages. Some are enormous like the one in the photo, and some you need to bend down knee deep in water to pass through. The sound of the water clopping and rushing echoes round the rocks and through the paths, leading the walker to an idyllic tropical beach at the other end.
