Tortola is the main island in this group and has the most hotels and restaurants without ever feeling crowded. The scenery as seen from the hilly roads is stunning and the clean, the yellow sand beaches are some of the best in the world. The beachside bars are fun and laid-back with reasonable food and, sometimes, local musicians. Don't come for shopping - there isn't much - this is the place to kick back and relax with a rum punch or the local lethal brew - a painkiller.
