An arts, craft and farmers market, held every Saturday from April thru the last Saturday in October, with 100 colorful booths, interesting local artists and farmers and some of the most beautiful produce, cheeses, breads and cakes, all from the small island. A great place to meet the locals and pick up advice on what to see and do.

Hotel, bar and restaurant, overlooking Ganges harbour and with a large organic garden on the property. Great staff and only a five minute walk to the center of town. Good sized rooms, a great place to unwind and if you rise early to see the sun come up over the water.

A friendly restaurant and bar, Moby's overlooks Ganges Harbour and serves fresh seafood, and other delights, entertainment most nights and a great place to try BC's best Ceasar (the cocktail) or the salad, I will always remember the view and a plate of steamed mussels.

The Observer picked this place as top of its list of places still peopled by hippies (which should come as a relief for those who live on the Sunshine Coast) but only listed float planes as a way to get there. Which is fast and fun but not very environmentally friendly. Slower and gentler for all concerned is the BC Ferry service. It is also considerably cheaper: note that there is not a direct service from Vancouver - change at Swartz Bay from the ferry from Tsawassen.
