Out with the old
Toronto is a city undergoing a renaissance, with the airport, art gallery, museum, and new waterfont apartments all under refurbishment or construction. It has the feel of a city finding itself a new identity, with great restaurants and bars opening up alongside the traditional tourist attractions.

Aim to spend at least three days here even if you're travelling on into the Canadian wilderness - Algonquin Provincial Park (not to mention several others) lies half a day's drive away, where you can enjoy the amazing wildlife, canoeing, trekking, camping and boating.
