I had an excellent meal here. Sashimi, lobster and a tuna steak. This is a good restaurant, has a great fresh fish menu and a good wine list. It's also very reasonably priced in comparison to eating in London. But that whole Yaletown area is like a baby Shoreditch, an uber-trendy outpost in a frontier town.

Its a market and entertainment area. You can pick up fresh seafood (including live lobsters and crabs!), look at exhibtions or go for a drink. It also has an organic market with a lot of choice - its an amazing place and good value for money

I fell in love with Vancouver the second the plane banked and I caught a glimpse of the Capilano Mountain range. After a day experiencing a rather windy cable car ride, and boating in Vanier, I discovered the Blue Water Cafe. Oysters served with Vodka and Tabasco was the recommended dish. The staff are amazing and filled with tips and advice on time spent in their city. The terrace gives you yet another opportunity to pose. Which we did. My best advice; make your next holiday in Vancouver.

Great little bar in a stunning location on the south shore of False Creek. The nearest thing to proper pub food, the fish and chips are delightful, particularly when washed down with a few sleeves of Spring Lager.

Grab a window seat looking out over the marina or top up your suntan on the upstairs deck. My best suggestion is chat to the friendly locals and bar staff downstairs, there'll be some expats who'll quickly pick up your accent. They'll even put some footy on the TV if they like you.

Stamps Landing is next to Monk McQueens, one the best seafood restaurants on the West Coast. By car, exit the Cambie Bridge and turn right onto Moberley Road. Parking is easiest in the pay car parks. Best to leave the car and get the aquabus as Stamps has it's own drop off. Ideal for doing a crawl between here and the Granville Island Brewery.
