Naam is an incredible vegetarian restaurant on Vancouver's 4th Avenue. It serves amazing vegetarian fare 24 hours a day, in vast quantities, and has won several awards for doing so. It's kind to both tastebuds and finances!

A great choice for Chinese vegetarian food - you'll see large families here and even some Buddhist monks and nuns, enjoying vegetarian versions of Cantonese classics, beautifully cooked vegetables and tofu, as well as gluten and mock meat dishes. The decor may be very plain, but this restaurant deserves its popularity among the local Chinese population.

The Naam has been around for decades, and is still a trustworthy place to go to for delicious vegetarian food. It's located in Kitsilano, on Vancouver's hip West 4th Avenue, and opens 24 hours a day so you can even go here for that midnight fix (and avoid the usual lunch and dinnertime queues.) Particular favourites are the reuben burgers and "dragon bowls" - loaded with noodles and vegetables - and you can't leave without trying the sesame fries with miso gravy.

The Naam is a gem. It's the quintessential Vancouver restaurant, filled with everyone from grannies to stoned teens.
Go to Kits beach for the early evening, then walk towards the restaurant, have dinner then get back to the beach for a summer sunset.

This hippy veggie restaurant is open 24/7 and is such a great place to spend a relaxing evening. There is excellent food from around the world and charming service from friendly owners and waiting staff. Meat eaters and veggies alike will delight in the menu. I've been there twice and both times there have been queues out the door late into the night!

A great 24 hour vegetarian restaurant, the Naam has been around for thirty years, and is still going strong. A friendly comfortable atmosphere, hearty, satisfying meals and live music in the evenings. The Naam nourishes the spirit as well as the body. And if there's a lineup, don't be put off, just come back later; it's worth it. During the quieter times, like three in the afternoon, or three in the morning, it's a great place to grab a cup of coffee and some coffee cake, sit back, relax, and start that great novel you've been meaning to read/write.
