Party town
It's a colonial town in Boyaca, Colombia, the architecture has been preserved and it has a great cultural historical background and of course a party and crazy side especially during the festivals. The most famous are the 'Lights festival' on December 7 and the 'Kites festival' in August, but anytime is good.

There are several museums and historical sights in the town and the surrounding areas. The town is surrounded by a desert and a flora and fauna reserve that you can visit.

The accommodation possibilities are huge from a $5 camping site to a $150 hotel, but there are nice and affordable hotels for around $15 per night per person so don't get fooled. Food is great and you can get anything from typical Colombian meals to French food from $1 - 12 per meal so it's your call.

This is a great place to visit - packed with visitors and foreigners that visit and never leave so you might feel at home.
