The best restaurant we found in Split. Very nice setting and friendly staff.
Great quality Croatian/Mediterranean food at very reasonable prices.
Cost us 245 KN (£30) for 1 starter, 2 mains, 1L of wine & cappucinos to finish.
On left hand side of Sperun (as you come up from waterfront).

The food is standard fare but also standard prices. However the reason for the tip is that the setting for the restaurant is wonderful, especially sitting out al fresco in the summer.
Only a stones throw away from the Cathedral.

Makrovega is one of Dalmatia's few vegetarian restaurants, a short walk from Split seafront (Riva). You'll need to look at the website to find it but it offers good value vegan or macrobiotic menus.
