Trogir is situated in the centre of Dalmatia, on the eastern coastline of Adriatic Sea. The heart of Trogir is a small islet lying between the gentle hills on the mainland and the coast of the Island of Ciovo. It is a small town of 120,00 but the airport of Split is only 3km away. Trogir gets the mild Mediterranean climate – about 30C in summer - and is actually a real treasure if you fancy avoiding the other touristy destinations in Croatia.

Places to visit I’d suggest are: St. Lovre’s cathedral, Kamerlengo fortress and the Berislavic palace.

The old town & sea front

Posted by johnwoolmer 21 June 2008

Gorgeous old town, pedestrian friendly and good to explore. Quality shops, markets and restaurants/cafes; good beer and delicious ice creams.

Efficient buses and trains follow the coast to Split and Dubrovnik, while ferries are fun. Airport easily reached.

A highly recommended holiday destination with good sunshine, crystal clear seas, friendly and hospitable people and nearly everyone speaks English.

Advantage Croatia Real Estate

Posted by Samomalo 17 July 2007

I was recently in Trogir/Ciovo looking to buy a property there. I've been visiting Ciovo regularly over the last 5 or 6 years, and have grown very fond of the place, so finally decided I should look for a place of my own there (of course, if I'd have bought somewhere when I initially visited I could have saved myself a lot of money!).

I viewed with a few local agents, who I have to say were rather pushy, and then I viewed with Advantage. They're a small company, very friendly and very helpful. I found a place I wanted, they arranged all the paperwork, lawyers etc, and even helped with furnishing and insurance and stuff. I'm now the happy owner of a nice 1 bed I can share with my friends and family. So all in all a big thumbs up - they were such nice guys I figure I'll give them some free publicity!

Krka National Park

Posted by Jemaroo 31 July 2006

At the Krka National Park, there is a set of waterfalls and cascades called Skradinski Buk. The scenery here is absolutely fantastic and when you arrive at the bottom of the cascades you can take a dip in the freshwater - the only place in the park that allows swimming. A grand day out!
