My husband and I stayed at Villa Kamenica for a week and loved every minute of it! We were in the garden apartment which came with its own private patio, stone oven and beautiful views of the amazing gardens. Tomislav, Zeljka, Duje (their cute puppy) made us feel welcomed, showed us all the best beaches, and gave us great wine! Tomislav showed us the fish market and cooked an superb dinner every evening. By the end of the week we felt like family and were very sad to leave our paradise.
Villa Kamenica and Komiza are true gems! It was the BEST place we have ever stayed!

Vis Island is a real jewel, one of the last unspoiled islands in the Adriatic. The seas are azure, the beaches pristine and secluded, the local cuisine is delicious and the whole island relaxes and enchants you from the minute you arrive. We rented a three bedroom stone house just seconds from the pretty crescent riviera in the centre of Vis Town, and had a wonderful week exploring the island. The townhouse was a charming, well-run little place in a perfect location - and it was also startlingly good value (£500/week for six people). Recommended!
The blue cave on the small island of Bisevo, not far from Vis. At midday, sunlight enters the cave through a submarine opening and makes the water glow the most beautiful shade of blue.
Great spot by the harbourside. Don't heed the advice of the guide book and avoid all the harbourside restaurants, as they are not all tourist traps! This place was brilliant and much better than the "recommended" places further away (where the cats had to finish our meals!) Order any grilled fish or the local special fish pot - which is a delight to look at, let alone consume. Arrive with empty bellies and go home very happy!
