You can relax and take time out to recharge your batteries, the weather is beautiful and the water is warm to swim in.

There are activities and tours to do on the water, otherwise just lie in the sun and enjoy the fantastic scenery around you.

The fish is fresh as this is a fishing island, and the wine is from its own vineyards. Bread is home baked, and can be bought fresh every morning.

Many people who do not know the Croatian culture could find the locals a little agressive in their manner, but it is not just with tourists but with each other, the idea is to not take it personally, and remember every country has its own way of interacting and communicating. No idea why this is, as I spent time in both Split and Hvar and didn't encounter the same attitudes.

In particular- avoid Bar Lembik by the harbour in Kut, the waiter there told me they had sold out of local beer and served me a Heineken instead -more expensive than local beer. Moments later he brought out local beers for his friends, when I questioned him about this he replied 'domestic beers are for domestic customers only'!

Also the staff at Ionios Travel agency were rude and unhelpful when I took the bike back that I'd hired for a day - after the brakes failed! After much argument they reluctantly agreed to give me 1/2 the money back.
