Fab self catering flat in a vaulted ground floor flat, middle of town, next to the river, access to garden which looks up at the castle tower. Full of character and art work. Lovely owner.

Where else can you stay in a tower? Ve Vezi is a great little pension at great prices; full of character and charm. The accommodation is fairly basic, though the room had a TV and fridge - for the price Ve Vezi is a bargain.

The pension is situated by the river right next to the Eggenberg brewery, which has its own pub and restaurant serving up their lovely beer and Czech staples. Within a couple of hundred yards you're in the thick of Cesky Krumlov's cobbled streets.

Marta the owner is fantastic and very helpful.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Ve Vezi.

Athanor House offers two flats for rent to visitors - a large luxury flat (though not at a luxury price) and a small studio flat. They come with a lovely garden complete with apple tree and views of the castle.

The house is central, close to the restaurants and attractions. Hannah, the owner of the house, lived for many years in London, speaks perfect English and was able to cater for our needs (including real English teabags!).

I can recommend this hostel as the rooms are at the top of the house and the views are great from the windows. It costs about 10 pounds a night give or take a little and is situated on the river.
