It is a great accommodation, a warm, cosy and little hotel, with chairs and tables on the patio in summer. It is situated in the center of the city with easy acces by bus from the station, or walking even, to many places, like the cathedral, Raathuse and old city, or museums. The breakfast is fantastic and the room was classic but charmy.
It is worthwhile paying the price.

There is a wonderful sandy beach all along the forest and in the forest itself there is a park with deer, a camping site, several great restaurants and a view over the sea to kill for.

Just before the forest you pass the royal family's summer residence, Marselisborg Slot. When the Queen is in Aarhus, you can watch the change of guards every day at noon. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful memorial park which is perfect for a picnic or a barbecue. When the Queen is not in residence, it is even possible to walk around the castle's own gardens.

In winter, Aarhus' municipal ice rink opens on the park in front of the Musikhuset concert hall. Skating is free, skate for as long as you like - just hire skates at the hut for a nominal charge and leave a secure document such as a driving license. There are no lockers, but, being Denmark, everyone leaves their bags piled around the side of the rink. You get the feeling that it hasn't occurred to anyone to nick anything.
