    Fælledparken

Posted by MrThursday 26 April 2011

Faelledparken is a huge, green space at the heart of smart østerbro, play football, throw a Frisbee, sit and drink beer/wine, have an impromptu BBQ (but try not to destroy the grass!).

    Copenhagen Jazz Festival

Posted by ColvilleAndersen 6 December 2005

A heavyweight on the jazz scene, the Copenhagen Jazz Festival takes over the city like few other events. For 10 bad-ass, funkarythmic days each July, every form of jazz can be heard at dozens of locations throughout the city.

Big names feature regularly, but the best thing is the portable stages that can be found on every square in town, allowing music to waltz through the air wherever you wander.

Ten days every July (2006: July 7-16).

    The Botanical Gardens

Posted by dbarnes 16 November 2005

Great, free collection of plants from all over the world. If you are fed up with the relentless drinking of lager and trips to the Tivoli Gardens, try this. Perfect for a family and great for a simply relaxing couple of hours without having to spend vast amounts of money.
