    Safaga

    Posted by Sainty70 17 May 2009

Safaga is a resort area close to Hurghada which has some of the most reliable winds for kitesurfing and windsurfing on the planet. Personally I would say that if you're after diving and snorkelling you're better off in Sharm on the Sinai Peninsula but if you're into windsports this place is awesome! There are also some amazing travel deals to be found to this part of the world.

    Snorkelling

    Posted by helen01 19 November 2007

If you want warm water and easy snorkelling, the best time to visit the Red Sea is in October or November before the sea temperature drops. If you go in February or March you are likely to get cooler sea temperatures requiring wet suits, and the water may well be too choppy to see much.

    Free diving

    Posted by eli777 3 October 2007

You can easily rent a boat and a shipper, just ask in a tourist bureau in Hurgadha and go out free diving among the beautiful coral. The sight is marvellous, almost 30 m.

5 star hotel about 30 mins from Hurghada. The most awesome windsports destination and a fantastic hotel too. If you're a guest of Mark Warner there is a huge array of watersports on offer and the wind is fantastic. We learnt to kitesurf here which was just amazing.
