    Acapulco Joe's

Posted by Holidayvault 31 March 2011

Acapulco Joe's is the signature restaurant withing the Marriott, Renaissance Golden View beach hotel in Ras Um Sid, Sharm. It's a Mexican restaurant and you just have to try the golden beer battered prawns. Probably the best starter you will ever eat!

Iberotel palace in Sharm El Sheikh, absolutely loved it. Not the cheapest hotel, but it has a gorgeous swimming pool and a really good selection of restaurants.

    Abou El Sid restaurant

Posted by MisterLister 28 February 2009

The most authentic Egyptian restaurant in Naama Bay. It's located above the Hard Rock Café, but don't let that put you off. Behind heavy wooden doors there is an ornate interior and a roof terrace with great views. Try the veal tagine and fettah. Mains courses cost around £5.

    Paying for Visa not necessary

Posted by lupis 9 January 2008

If you are planning to spend time in Sharm el-Sheikh and will not be going anywhere other than the Aqaba coast or St. Catherine's monastery, you do not need an Egyptian visa for which you will spend a lot of time standing in line for to change money to buy it and then to get the actual visa.

Just go directly to passport control. I've been here a couple of times and I've seen everyone paying for these visas, when they have no intention to either leave the resort or the Aqaba coast. The Egyptians are very happy to let entire planeloads of tourists pay for a visa they will not need.

    Restaurante Columbus

Posted by Biggan 23 December 2006

A fantastic little restaurant in Sharm El Sheikh. They have delicious food and the service is perfect. Breakfast starts from 8 am and they close around 2am. We tried everything from fruit drinks to lovely ice cream, and had no stomach problems.

Explore the food. Don’t miss it!!!

You can find it in Sharm Mall-Hadaba-Banks St. In front of Alf Leila Wa Leila passage.

    Cheaper tour bookings

Posted by silviak 5 October 2006

When you go to Sharm do not book your tours through your hotel operator because you will get ripped off. Take some time and go directly to the Sun Fun office (located near one of the Hiltons in town) and book there. The costs are nearly half of what is charged in hotels.
