This photo was taken from the bridge connecting Lille Europe with Lille Flandres stations. The fountains had been turned off and the image of the man sat alone conveys real solitude in the world, the drying puddles appearing like countries and continents. Taken directly from above the image is a bit disorientating. I was surprised by the metaphor in the photo when I got it onto the computer.
