    Mottaret Burger Bar

Posted by jonmerotra 1 February 2011

This is a fast food joint located at the bottom of the slopes in Mottaret village, nearby to Meribel. A seasonnaire's best kept secret, the outlet provides delicious burgers that are the size of your head (perfect for nourishment after a morning on the slopes), all for around €5 which make them pretty much the cheapest thing you can buy in the Alps. Plus, they really are scrumptious.

30 seconds off the slopes, but past the slopeside restaurants at the bottom of the runs in Mottaret. The stall is opposite the newsagents and will be easily located if you lookout for young snowboarders with burgers that look too big for human consumption.

    Le Refuge restaurant

Posted by sirjontheunafraid 18 November 2008

This place is a pizzeria downstairs and a la carte restaurant upstairs. Full of locals and suits every pocket. The food, wine and service were excellent and great value for money.

We went there on the chalet cooks night off and I would recommend you book immediately you find out which night you have to look after yourself.

Cross the road outside Barometer and head down the hill. From leaving the aforementioned bar to the restaurant is about 10 seconds on your hands and knees. Enjoy.

    Le Rastro Bar

Posted by lucyd 17 January 2007

    Great place for post-skiing drinks.

Rastros also serves traditional food, with good fondues and raclette, until about 10.30pm. Has famous Tuesday night Rock Parties with 70s music and dancing on the tables.

In the Chatelet area of Méribel-Mottaret (just past the Plattieres lift station)

    Le Chardonnet

Posted by lucyd 17 January 2007

Bar/restaurant with panoramic views across the mountains.

You can eat traditional Savoyard specialities on the terrace or sit in a deckchair in the snow on a sunny day for a drink.

Good place to meet non-skiiers for lunch as you can reach it by the Pas du Lac cable car from Mottaret, and for learners there are lots of blue runs leading all the way back down to Méribel.
