Ski hard, play hard
On and off the slopes, Val d'Isere offers everything that a ski enthusiast could wish for. The good weather conditions have made this resort famous as a snow paradise and its 186-miles plus ski runs feature everything from nursery slopes for beginners to off-piste runs for the more adventurous.

But there's more to "Val" than just snow and slopes. Once the lifts stop running in the late afternoon, the place turns into a buzzing après-ski area. There's a wide range of pricey restaurants, bars and clubs where you're more likely to meet (drunken) tourists than French locals, making Val appear more like a British holiday resort than a French mountain village.

So if you enjoy the company of fellow Brits and your motto is "Ski hard, play hard", then Val d'Isere is the place to go.
