Hotel Brunnenhof is one of many OK hotels south of Central station. It's clean and pleasant with very comfortable beds, varied breakfasts and free internet access. Their website makes booking easy. About 96 a night for a double.

Three-star hotel on Sonnenstrasse, just off the end of Kaufingerstrasse and handy for central sights such as Marienplatz and Frauenkirche as well as the Hauptbahnhof. Modern and friendly with a pleasant breakfast room on the first floor. I stayed in an en suite double room (in 2003) for a very reasonable 65 euros a night.

The only place to stay in Munich. Stylish, high quality accommodation, excellent breakfast and just round the corner from a fabulous Indian restaurant. Surprisingly reasonably priced luxury.

Nice clean hotel, very central, a couple of minutes from the station. Good breakfast, clean comfortable rooms and nice staff. There is a good Italian restaurant a couple of seconds away.

This is a centrally and ideally located, family run, four-star hotel within easy walking distance of restaurants, museums and attractions within the Old Town. The S-Bahn (rail station) is just one-minute away with fast and cheap connections to the airport. The rooms are recently refurbished to a high standard, clean, warm and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a good choice at the buffet breakfast. The standard at the hotel exceeded our expectations. I would recommend it to friends.
