Baltic Sea holidays, Germany

Posted by maxgr 6 June 2008

Very nice holidays in north-eastern Germany. Untouched nature and sports like cycling, canoeing and others are possible.

Camping on Usedom

Posted by Highby 10 July 2007

The whole island is like a huge campsite. But the best of them is by the village Ückeritz/Ueckeritz. This campsite runs along several kilometres, 50 metres behind the beach. Trees all around. Sand beach. Squirrels. Boars. Bats.

Possible day-trips:
Tourist-towns Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, Bansin with lots of tourists-fun, with a ship over to Poland.
The town Peenemünde, if you are interested in WW2-history (V-2), explanations also in English, walk through old Russian submarine possible, funny physics-exhibition.
