All things to all men
A gorgeous and very lively city that has been kept a secret from tourists as Greeks prefer to keep their best places to themselves. It is a student city that guarantees to entertain you all year round, a place that surprises you every minute of the day!

This city boasts a long history, from Bronze, Classical to Byzantine ages. Alexander the Great's mother Olympia comes from Ioannina, specifically Dodoni, just outside the city, where you'll find the oldest and biggest ancient theatre.

Greeks call it the city of money and education and nowadays it is the city of rowing as well, having hosted world championships and cups. The city is built at one side of the lake Pamvotis that offers breathtaking views. During the summer nights a visit to "vouno", meaning mountain in Greek, is a must, where a plethora of sophisticated and posh bars and clubs with roof gardens and swimming pools offer you those outstanding colourful views of the city (you have to be there to believe it).

It is a paradise for people that love extreme sports, from parachuting to parapente and river kayaking to lake rowing. This area of Greece is surrounded with mountains, lakes, rivers and the largest national park in Greece. It is the perfect combination of designer shopping and all-night clubbing to a relaxing walk through the deepest gorge in Europe and an active mountain climbing experience in Zagoria.
