Tastes and combinations are excellent! The prices are reasonable and the best of all is Dimitris Mavrikos,the owner. Besides being a great chef his singing talents are really good!

On the promenade, visit the Zaharoplasteion Dimitriadis, one of the oldest pastry shops. Enjoy the view of the windmills and the two pillars with the deer at the port entrance.

This huge Turkish bath is a relic from the Ottoman empire, and has cavernous steam rooms and plunge pools. The building is completely authentic, you are welcome to just sit and relax, or have a fantastic massage which leaves you wobbly when you stand.

Locals go regularly, and it is said to be a great cure for acne.

There are rooms for one person, two or the communal area. It is worth going simply to admire this beautiful old building!

The landscape on the west is not commercial or developed, and you can stop in small villages like Embonas (famous for their wine) and Sianna (great for carpets) on the way.

Keep a look out for a caravan parked on the side of the road (before you get to Sianna) which looks as if its going to slide down the mountain. After a strenuous day relaxing try the Panorama restaurant, a 5 minute drive away. Enjoy their authentic, fresh food (cheesy flowers a must) sitting under vines with a view of the beach.
