    Hammam, Rhodes Old Town

Posted by eros 3 April 2007

If you want a spa with a difference try the Hammam in the heart of Rhodes Old Town.

This huge Turkish bath is a relic from the Ottoman empire, and has cavernous steam rooms and plunge pools. The building is completely authentic, you are welcome to just sit and relax, or have a fantastic massage which leaves you wobbly when you stand.

Locals go regularly, and it is said to be a great cure for acne.

There are rooms for one person, two or the communal area. It is worth going simply to admire this beautiful old building!

If you are not too relaxed to walk, enjoy a coffee or a drink at one of the cafe bars opposite when you leave.

It's a 5 minute walk from Socrates Street, ask at one of the restaurants at the fountain.

Entrance fee is E2 and a massage costs E5 - bring towels and swimming costumes. It is open all year.

    Faliraki, Kalithea

    Posted by beve86948 11 March 2007

Now that the British youth culture has moved out of Faliraki and on to other unfortunate places, Faliraki is re-establishing itself as a cosmopolitan beach resort for all age groups.

Its multitude of scenic locations, St. Apostolos, Profit Amon, St. Sophia, lend themselves for weddings, whilst the recently renovated Kallithea Spa is becoming the hot venue for tying the knot in 2007.

    Kallithea Spa

    Posted by beve86948 3 March 2007

If you're thinking of getting married in Rhodes, bear in mind that St Paul's has become so oversubscribed that as one couple is leaving the venue, another is arriving and a third waiting at the far entrance. Try Kallithea Spa - recently renovated and absolutely breathtaking.... it is also possible to have your reception on site.
