They have plenty of well-equipped apartments for rent in Budapest downtown. Prices are not very low but still OK and the service is excellent.
I stayed in a flat near Octogon and I had a great time there.

It's a self-catering apartment. I stayed there for one week and I just loved it, because it's really nice with a cute garden view. It's in the very centre, pretty close to everything.

It's in Veress Palne utca, right next to Vaci utca in district 5. Nearest metro is Kalvin ter. However you mostly need to walk only.

This company has lots of brand new apartments for rent. These are mainly for long term rentals, but upon request they give you offer for daily rental as well.

I stayed in a city centre apartment near the Great Synagogue for EUR 70/day. The property manager was very nice a they all speak very good English

The apartment is located in one of the best parts of Budapest, very close to everything, like the Mammut Shopping Centre (my wife was thrilled about that!), the Budapest Castle and other great sights, excellent restaurants (Grandma's Pancakes house is great and really close - highly recommended!) and close to all transportation.

The apartment is clean, bright, well stocked with towels and such, the 2 large bedrooms can be great for families, although it was only the two of us. Highly recommended to everybody who visits Budapest!
