    Mehrauli Archaeological Park

Posted by napeed 8 September 2007

Just behind Qutub Minar and off the beaten track. A bit filthy but an absolute treasure house with old tombstones, forts, water bodies.

If you are hungry, look for the 'Royal Dakshin Restaurant' at one of the edges of the park.
If you decide to brave it until night falls then the djinns come out.

A fantastic venue situated at the top of Le Meridien hotel, Henri's is the highest bar in Delhi. The floor to celing windows offer breathtaking views of Rajpath and India Gate. The bar staff are friendly, courteous and proud to point out the areas of interest below. A great place to get your bearings in Delhi and the 4-6pm happy hour doesnt hurt either.

    Firoz Shah Tughlaq

Posted by RandeepRamesh 11 August 2005

For a view of Delhi’s mix of old and new, clamber among the ruins of Firoz Shah Tughlaq found beyond the swanky designer shops of Haus Khaz village. There you look down on Delhi’s deer park and get a smog-free panorama across the western end of the city.
