    Lemboggan

Posted by monkeysintrees 11 December 2012

This small island just off Bali is nothing short of a dream. Small personal guesthouses (losmens) are the norm, reef surfing, amazing food and the most hospitable people you will find. It is definitely worth taking a break from the chaos of Kuta to sample this delight - and if you can stay at Putu's losman, the couple that run it are nothing short of awesome!!

You can book to go to Lemboggan from any of the local (cornerstall) travel agents.

    Bawang Merah restaurant

Posted by TomSunday 12 April 2012

Jimbaran Bay is famous for its many seafood cafes. Bawang Merah restaurant is at the northernmost section of Jimbaran beach and therefore offers a unique view over the bay, amazing! We dined at a table on the beach, enjoyed our grilled seafood and the magnificent sunset there. An unforgettable dinner next to the ocean.

    Padang Padang Surf Camp

Posted by iamjon 6 June 2011

Padang Padang Surf Camp is a place that provides lessons and guiding for experienced surfers, mainly around areas of the Bukit peninsular in the south of Bali, but also in other parts of the island too.
The surf guides and instructors have been surfing the various places in Bali for years and years so you get to surf the best place each day.
The accommodation was half-board which included a proper breakfast (not just cereal and toast) and some amazing traditional Balinese inspired lunches.
The camp was very laid back yet extremely well-run so a perfect place to both relax and ensure that you get the most out of your time there.
The staff were all very friendly and competent, all the way from the instructors to the kitchen staff and I'll definitely be visiting again in the future.

    Bali Rapture Surf Camp (Bukit)

Posted by acpearson 24 November 2009

I have just returned from Rapture surf camp in Bali on the Bukit peninsula. I was booked in for two weeks and ended staying there the whole month I was traveling. The food was great, accommodation was clean and the staff were extremely friendly. Surf guides took me to different surf breaks everyday. As a lone traveller with little surfing experience I was a little nervous at the prospect of surfing Bali however I found people at the camp outgoing and meeting new people was easy. The surf guides took me to places to suit my ability which really helped me push my surfing to the next level (I even ended up buying my first board!) I would rate my overall experience 10/10 which is why I've taken the time to write a review! I hope to get back to work save some money and return with my new board over the summer.

Area in north east Bali with fantastic snorkelling, diving and beaches. Well away from the busy south but has some great small hotels and places to eat.
