If you're in need of a proper dose of protein while staying on the Bukit peninsular, there's no better place than Satay Club
Rotisserie chicken and roast potatoes in gravy. It's like the best parts of a roast dinner!
You get a whole chicken for 70k IDR - well worth it!
Ungasan crossroads at the very top of Jimbaran hill. Opposite Nirmala 24 hour shop which is two or three doors down from the main Nirmala supermarket.

Padang Padang Surf Camp is a place that provides lessons and guiding for experienced surfers, mainly around areas of the Bukit peninsular in the south of Bali, but also in other parts of the island too.
The surf guides and instructors have been surfing the various places in Bali for years and years so you get to surf the best place each day.
The accommodation was half-board which included a proper breakfast (not just cereal and toast) and some amazing traditional Balinese inspired lunches.
The camp was very laid back yet extremely well-run so a perfect place to both relax and ensure that you get the most out of your time there.
The staff were all very friendly and competent, all the way from the instructors to the kitchen staff and I'll definitely be visiting again in the future.

A small restaurant specialising in local foods, also a few Chinese dishes on their menu. We came over to this place because we had some treatment at their spa the day before. Ambiance was just okay but the food was tasty beyond compare. Best chicken we had in Bali (ayam sambal bawang, chicken with onion and chilli). And ask them for their herbal drinks (jamu). They freshly prepared for us this kind of medicine drink made of turmeric, honey and lemon and I'll never forget this health booster.

This huge water park is a clean and safe place where you can have a lot of fun or just some relaxation. Landscaping is impressive! Plenty of water slides so even when the park is packed with visitors you don't have to queue long.
If you are bit afraid to try any of the slides just take the “lazy river” where you can float around the park. Also you could rent a little hut for you and your family.

It's a day spa in Bali. They offer great Balinese massage and spa treatments, even have professional spa courses running there. We enjoyed a couples spa together in one of their lovely open-air rooms. Got free pick-up from our hotel (free transport available for Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and Kuta). From the start to finish we received an extraordinary service. Spa was terrific and good value for money.

Jiwa Damai in Bali is a wonderful retreat center in the middle of nature. It is an environmentally friendly ecolodge with a huge organic garden. They practice permaculture, water preservation and biological waste recycling.
They offer beautiful rooms, which are fairly cheap (50 Euro per night per room), a swimming pool with natural spring water, two meditation spots in the jungle and a huge open-air lounge and dining area.
It is very quiet and peaceful, the ideal place to relax. Meals are organic, prepared from their own organic produce. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Excursions and tours are offered.

Rent a scooter (USD10 per day) to see a striking world of culture, history, architecture and astonishing natural beauty that is a sharp contrast to commercialism of Southern Bali resorts. A two day adventure will take you to the old cultural capital, monkey rain forests, dormant volcanoes, azure blue lakes, terraced rice fields, botanic gardens, waterfalls, hot springs, temples: the holiest one, one in the lake and another in the sea and through villages that changed little in the past 50 years – all that while air perfumed with cloves and roast coffee blows in your face. Or take a bike and the guide for USD30 per day – try Teguh or his brother, hell’s angels with heart of gold!

I have just returned from Rapture surf camp in Bali on the Bukit peninsula. I was booked in for two weeks and ended staying there the whole month I was traveling. The food was great, accommodation was clean and the staff were extremely friendly. Surf guides took me to different surf breaks everyday. As a lone traveller with little surfing experience I was a little nervous at the prospect of surfing Bali however I found people at the camp outgoing and meeting new people was easy. The surf guides took me to places to suit my ability which really helped me push my surfing to the next level (I even ended up buying my first board!) I would rate my overall experience 10/10 which is why I've taken the time to write a review! I hope to get back to work save some money and return with my new board over the summer.

An intimate boutique hotel, in the rice paddies, yet at walking distance from the centre of Ubud, Bali's cultural capital. Eastern hospitality and Western standards. The best of both worlds!
