Hotel Bougainville

Posted by SIMUK 30 March 2007

Just returned from a weekend in Positano and couldn't have been happier with our hotel choice. I wish now we had planned on staying longer!

The hotel is centrally located - a three minute walk to everywhere you would want to go. The rooms were spacious, clean, and mine had a lovely balcony and sea view.

It's a small family hotel and staff were friendly and helpful and recommended some great restaurants and also provided us with directions when needed.

Positano is very expensive but this hotel is excellent value for money. I highly recommend hotel Bougainville when you are visiting Positano.

Hotel Poseidon Positano

Posted by MsWalker 6 January 2007

A gorgeous terrace with swimming pool and stunning views and in-house beauty treatments more than compensate for plain rooms, but it's the staff who really make this hotel. A room covered in pre-wedding chaos, including floral trimmings, was completely spruced up by bedtime; a late-night impromptu drinks party on the terrace met with free pizza rather than shushing. Drop by for all you can eat breakfast on the terrace, only 15 euros. NB: insurance costs means no irons in hotels.

Music on the Rock

Posted by Stonesy 4 May 2006

If you want to have a boogie in Positano there is only one place - Music on the Rock. It's carved into the rock - great atmosphere and overlooks the sea.

Totally different point but don't ever stay in Sorrento - only place in Italy I think is awful.

On the seafront to the left handside.
