A cup of coffee

A cappuccino kick-start in the morning before a day spent exploring a new city; a rest in the afternoon with a latte and a slab of cake; a teeny tiny super-strong espresso after a gourmet dinner - coffee is the perfect travel companion. We're looking for the best places around the world to stop for a cup of java. Caffe Della Pace

    Posted by ic121 28 November 2012

Known to me, and many people as Bar Della Pace, this is a super stylish bar which manages to be incredibly trendy without even trying. It's a beautiful bar, where the service, the staff, the customers and drink selection are fantastic, and all combine to offer a welcoming and warm atmosphere.
I've only visited once, a few years ago but was blown away with how relaxing and enjoyable this bar was. Despite being so close to Piazza Navona, the prices were, in the main, reasonable and the welcome was warm. This wasn't the case in all bars we visited in the area.
The bar is enjoyable both inside and out - where you can watch cooler people than me enjoying the evening!
I've recommended Della Pace to many people and they have always been happy with the recommendation.
I remember there being an excellent wine list with a great choice by the glass. The coffee was as good as it should be.

Best pastries and coffee when you need a break with the family from sightseeing. It's a foodie's paradise with cakes beautifully presented and great service.

    Caffe Sant' Eustachio

    Posted by mp3cityguides 7 June 2008

If you fancy something quieter than the big cafes in the nearby Piazza Navona and want a place where you will be able to watch real Romans going about their business, try this neighbourhood cafe which has excellent coffee plus cakes and pastries. Coffee and coffee flavoured chocolates are available to buy in signature yellow packaging.

    Open: Daily 7.30am – 12midnight. 82 Piazza Sant' Eustachio.

Forty years living in and about Rome, I discover a best-ever cup of espresso coffee, 70¢. On the sunny side of the piazza.

    Tazza d'Oro

Posted by anajen 30 November 2005

The guide books tell you that the best cup of coffee in Rome is found at the Tazza d’Oro at Piazza della Rotonda close to the Pantheon. They are not wrong. Remember you have to pay for your coffee at the till and then take your receipt to the counter to be served.
