Japan
For a younger crowd, one of the most appealing aspects of city living in Japan is the all night nature of the bars and clubs. Whether you go on a Tuesday night or a Saturday, the nightclubs are guaranteed to pull in a decent crowd. Muse nightclub is one of the places where any night of the week you can guarantee yourself a good time. Whether you’re a drinker, a dancer or a darts player, this multi story club offers entertainment on a variety of levels. Full of nooks, crannies and caves, you’re never left dry for somewhere to drink, sit and admire the crowd.

Tokyo has a thriving music scene so why not take the chance to see some local bands live? Guilty is one such venue, tucked away in a side street in Ebisu. It's relatively small (capacity approx 150-200) and is friendly enough to strangers. Most of the bands which perform there tend to be of the rock/pop genre, some of which could well destined to bigger things. It also gives you the chance to hear Japanese music beyond Jpop. Entry fees vary but are not excesive and often include the price of the first drink.

One of Tokyo's smaller clubs, La Fabrique has a warm atmosphere and one of the best sound systems. Music varies depending on the night, be sure to check their website before venturing in. Oh and don't bother going before midnight; it'll be half-empty.

It's quite hard to find, especially if you're not used to Tokyo. Your best bet is to ask one of the many kids you'll see hanging around for directions.
