Riga is a fantastic and modern European city city with very creative and dynamic atmosphere which I have seen probably only in Barcelona recently I'm delighted that more and more people (besides myself) are finally discovering it.

There are a lot of stag groups but thankfully more and more 'civilised' people are also coming and discovering more than just bars and girls. A good city guide that I've found helpful in the past is www.riga-guide.com. It's a got a great design to - and it groups places which are similar and worth visiting into "related category", which s very handy. And it's got a handpicked section too - so you will never end up in a places just full of tourists.
The places I'd recommend especially in Riga are Reval Hotel Latvia with its Bar on 26th floor, Sea coast and very beautiful Dome Cathedral with biggest ORgan in Europe.
