Silver lining
An historic powerful city under Spanish rule. The city was once home to rich silver mines, now a honeycomb of tunnels surrounded by craggy mountains.

Guanajuato is dramatically Mexican with a great friendly atmosphere, the best live jazz, (and I'm supposed to be an aficionado), Salsa dancing, colonial architecture, theatres, museums, cathedral, churches, leafy plazas, wandering minstrels, brass bands and bars!

I suggest you sit back with a beer ... enjoy the best Salsa dancing you will ever witness in a fabulous city which attracts few foreign tourists. There are countless more sedate ways to fill ones day...
