    Oud Zuid

    Posted by Daniela Denis-Smith 15 August 2007

Take a stroll around the Oud Zuid to see the 1930s Olympic stadium and the most beautiful and interesting architecture of the Dutch Olympic village. Stop for a bite at the National Film Museum in the Voldelpark or picnic near one of the lovely canals in the Oud Zuid.

    Entrepothaven: the new Amsterdam

Posted by Anton 18 January 2006

Over the last 15 years Amsterdam has converted its docklands on the river IJ from old warehouses, which were once home to squatters, to new structures with innovative architecture. The design is some of the most amazing stuff you will see anywhere around the world.

Exit the rear of Centraal Station and walk towards the east. Ask for Entrepothaven if needed. Or take bus 43 leaving from Centraal
station in the direction of "Borneo eiland" and get off at Cruquiusweg. Walk north into the Entrepothaven.

    American Hotel

Posted by barenib 17 January 2006

Built in 1902, this hotel is well known for its Art Deco style café, which has large stained-glass windows and a terrace which overlooks the Leidseplein. A good place to pay a visit to, even if you’re not staying there.
