Rotters' club
misselly
Many people are aware that Rotterdam's insides were destroyed during the seond world war, however, this lively city has made a comeback.
It is fast becoming the second most visited city in The Netherlands, especially in the summer. With its huge harbour as a background, this city hosts a plethora of summer festivals from June through to September and the carnival is second to none. Next to the Rotterdam Marathon in April, ABN-AMRO hosts an international tennis tournament in the Ahoy sport complex south of the river Maas.
It is easy to get around Rotterdam on public transport and you can purchase a day card to cover all attractions. There is a melting pot of different nationalities and its restaurants reflect this. You can check them out on www.iens.nl.
