A wonderful traditional "brown café" with a terrific beer menu. As well as the beers on the printed menus, there are always a lot of guest beers on the blackboards. As with most Dutch beer cafés, the menu tends to be dominated by Belgian beers, but de Paas also carries an excellent range of beers from Dutch craft brewers.
It's only a few minutes walk from Den Haag Centraal Station so is a perfect place to kill time before your train arrives. Though you might get too settled and miss it.

A beautiful Japanese garden which opens to the public for a short period (April - June) and is free. The Japanese Garden is not the only attraction, as Clingendael Park itself is impressive and well worth an afternoon if you're looking for tranquility and nature within the Hague. Child-friendly and a great place for a picnic. Accessible by public transport from Central Station.

A Hague institution offering live music (bands/djs etc) which has seen some great artists playing in recent times. Well worth checking out the annual 'Music in My Head' festival which celebrates a range of up-and-coming bands from different genres under one umbrella.

The Escher Museum (Escher in het Paleis, Escher in the Palace) is a museum in The Hague, The Netherlands, featuring the works of the Dutch graphical artist M. C. Escher. It opened on 16 November 2002.
The museum is housed in a former palace (Lange Voorhout Palace) dating from the 18th century, where Queen Emma lived until 1891. The museum features a large number of prints and sketches, as well as a multimedia journey through Escher's world (The Escher Experience).
Well worth a couple of hours!
